Previously, Zac Efron was attached to the role of 'Kevin Bacon' but dropped out to avoid being typecast as the musicals guy.then the place was taken by Gossip Girl hottie [YEAH] Chace Crawford.

Paramount declined to comment but one source tells EW.com that the culprit this time is Gossip Girl’s shooting schedule.He frothy CW show is scheduled to resume production in July, but Paramount is hoping to get Footloose into production sometime this summer, and Crawford can’t do both at once.

So the question is : could Justin Bieber become the next 'Kevin Bacon' ?
EW sources say the studio is likely to cast an unknown, possibly even doing a nationwide bake-off for the role.

btw Justin Bieber is touring starting this Juln and end at Sept .
